Issues with Eating Local

A bit of an older article, but an interesting new take on the ever so popular "eating local" trend. Challenges that eating local is always better for the environment in light of new studies that analyze life cycle of foods rather than "food miles". Also, what if food doesn't really grow where I live? -- "the problem of the Arid West."
